  1. Customizing HYPERVAX

  3. You may wish to add further TOPICS to those already supplied with the program.
  4. This is very simple to do. The TOPIC "FINGER" is included as an example.
  5. <FINGER> is not, strictly speaking, a VAX MAIL HELP command. It is always
  6. invoked at the $ prompt. 
  7.  
  8. Suppose, for example, you want to maintain a list of users on your particular
  9. node, or a list of BITNET names and addresses. All you do is write a file in
  10. your favourite word-processor, save the file as ASCII, and add it to the TOPICS
  11. file in the same format as the other files. For example:

  13. BITNET addresses
  14.  
  15. IN::"LISTERSERV@RPIECS"
  16. IN::"SMITH@YALE"
  17.  
  18. and so forth.

  20. Just make sure that the file is listed in the TOPICS file surrounded by the
  21. arrow symbols "<" and ">".
